Bird in distress..

Yesterday was quite a sad day.. after i pickup galgal from her.. we saw an injured pigeon as we come out of the lift. Looks like it has been attacked by a cat coz it's head is bleeding and feathers missing on one side of its wing.. then we moved it to a more secluded corner hoping the cat which attacked it wouldn't find it again.. then galgal folded a box using magazine paper and i bought a bottle of mineral water and filled it up and placed it infront of the bird.. it must be really in shock and in pain because usually birds would run away or chirp really loudly when u grab it.. but this one just remained silent and still.. we hoped it would recover abit and fly off soon..
Then me and galgal went to tamp to have lunch and to my house for a nap..
when we got home.. the bird is still in the same spot where we left it.. the water in the paper bowl has flowed out.. and the bird is sleeping.. then we went up to galgal hm and she gave me a plastic bowl with water. When i went down and looked closely, there were big ants around the poor bird.. looks like the ants are biting it and the bird couldn't do anything abt it.. and I heard some meowing nearby..not good, as i looked ard, 2 cats were actually looking at the bird..
I chased away the cat and found a shoe box nearby.. i just has to bring the bird back home.. But i didn't know how to care for it... i called up SPCA and apparently they do take in injured animals at anytime of the day.. so i sent it there in a cab.
Now that the bird is in good hands now.. wondering how is it now.. me and galgal wish it will recover soon and join it's friends in the sky.
