1st entry of a new beginning
Today marks the 7 years we've been together, and 2 days later it will be a new chapter of our lives. I'm glad we've overcome those events, that threatens this, with our love and patient. As long as I know the girl that I marry is the one I'll love forever and she too loves me, nothing can pull us apart.
When is the next chapter coming? hopefully soon, when little Jimmys and Brendas are here.. :P

I wanna get married too... =.=
Got to know thru a colleague cum fren's blog that her bf has proposed, felt so happy for her! 爱情长跑 leh! Really congrats her from the bottom of my heart... =)Then look back at myself... Haiz... Dunno gonna wait till when le... Its been a long wait too, 64mths and counting. I mean, he can probably propose anytime, but we wun be able to get married yet. Financially, we are still not able and not ready yet. I know I'm such a shopaholic and spendthrift sometimes. I do really wanna save up for our future, but sometimes when I see he's hardly saving up too, it just makes me feel "argh, WTF... why should I bother"... Tears in my eyes again when I'm typing this. As much as it will probably hurt him, it hurts me even more. At least 4-5 weddings I have attended this year, all younger or same age as me. Look back at myself, 25 and counting, still nowhere near any wedding bells (my own I mean). So many problems, so many wishes, so many dreams, so little vitamin M... Sigh... When is it gonna be my turn or will I even get a turn?I'm still waiting and trying very very hard not to give up. BUT there is a limit to my patience, time and youth. Max 3 more yrs, if things gonna still be the same, I'll walk away with my head high, no more tears this time... I'm serious...

weekend eat eat & eat post :P
friday galgal on leave so she, as usual, went to her former office to meet wendy&meilin for lunch eat koko mee. but i was bz with work so meet her only at 4pm then dinner at FINS at marina sqr. ate the usual loh, sama sama like my previous posts.
But today(sat), today different liao. went to far east plz but never eat chix rice at the top floor one. Maybe we just ate that ladt week..hmm. so walked around and saw "Sakura Thai" muslim outlet. galgal nvr tried b4 so went in. the staff machiam like having PMS like that, all sulky face one. Maybe all is muslim and can see, smell and touch food but cannot put inside mouth? that's why they under alot of stress. or maybe it's jst PMS la, since all are gals, who knows :P.
anyway, heng our food come properly. we ordered fried fish with dark sauce, mixed vege, pandan chix, tomyamfried rice for me and pineapple rice for galgal. why never order hot food since in thai restaurant? because galgal got tummy cramps la, if eat hot food only, she'll go do bombing runs almost immediately :P
1st the chilli sauce, the food can be average but if the sauce is good, food quality can be overlooked. :P the chilli sauce here is special and tasty, combination of sour, sweet and hotness but not sting-y.
Galgal's pineapple fried rice inside pineapple wor.. long time seldom see liao. usually most ppl nowadays just fried rice with pieces of pineapple. this one authentic one.
See alot of "liow", got pieces of chix inside. definitely worth it ---->
Next is the pandan leaf chicken, this dish is at most ok when u 1st look at it then u wonder, eh what is that mayo sauce doign there? because usually we eat elsewhere bo mayo
sauce one. then galgal peel of the leaf and reveal red "otah-like" chix meat inside, put inside mouth really tender and soft. but once dip into the sauce and it tastes excellent, the mayo and chix really compliment each other! whoever discover of cameup with this is brilliant.. very brilliant
Next special dish is my tomyam friend rice.. hmm it's special but not as fantastic as the above 2 dish. it got that tomyam taste but without the sourness and spicyness. Could do with more prawns and liow loh. :P
The rest of the dish quite normal, the fried fish with dark sauce is good, fish is deep fried but its meat is soft and juicy.
But the vege is disappointing, saltish though alot of "liow".
So sat over liao.. but no fear tmr sunday! one more day of food! yumyum.. we may put on a few kg over this weekend.. so next week think must eat less liao.. so since tmr last day to eat more.. Botak jones here we come! :P

Wedding Plans... Not...
It seems that for the past year, people around me have been getting married. From ex-classmates to ex-colleagues, frens etc... I can practically hear/see wedding bells ringing every 1-2mths. Its burning a big hole in my pocket but on a serious note, really happy for them that they found their SO and happiness.
It also makes me wonder when will it ever be my turn and ponder if its really gonna happen at all. Sometimes, it seriously doesn't feel good at all. Its been 5yrs and 2mths odd in this r/s and my youth is fading away bit by bit. How do I know? I can feel/see it... I used to be able to survive with only 3-4hrs of sleep, now 4-5hrs of sleep only will make me yawn the whole day and cranky. I used to only have the occasional small pimples and pretty ok complexion, now I have pimples outbreak everyday and my complexion sucks with lines starting to appear. Surely and slowly losing confidence in some things too.
People used to ask me abt our ROM/wedding plans. I used to reply ROM on 26.06.08, wedding on either 19.09.2009 or 20.09.2009 happily with confidence. Now? I just reply no idea or maybe not getting married. Why? No specific reason, looking at things now, I have no idea and confidence where this is heading to. Definitely not marriage in the short term. Maybe a breakup will be earlier before you can ask when's the wedding bells ringing?
I'm honestly sick and tired of it sometimes and ask myself if this is what I want? Much as I love him, much as he's still the only choice if it comes to marriage. But I don't know how long I can/want to wait.
I'm tired... Tired of waiting, tired of seeing things not being fufilled, tired of crying to sleep every night, tired of dreaming...
Flat? ROM? Wedding dinner? Just a wish/dream/illusion now... Shattered...

Prelude to Galgal birthday
Had popiah session at tzuen's houseon Sunday and galgal enjoyed herself tremendously because she really liked making her own popiah and tzuen's family tradition is to have alot of ingredients type. I think she ate more than me this time round.. think it was 5? :PSo galgal had a new look, she cut short her hair on sat. you can goto her blog to see her new look. she definitely look better right? Of coz alot of other ppl said so too.Today her mum and sis gave her an early surprise birthday present, not really surprise la beause her mum actually called her and ask her where is "SK Jewellery" which gave the game away.. keke. But it was a big thing for galgal because this is the 1st time her mum actually made effort to get a birthday present for her. previously it was just an angbao, a stark contrast of what her mum wil do for her sis's birthdays. So this time galgal was really really happy becaus she felt that her mum and sis finally realise her presence in the family.Today one of galgal colleague, who is a christian, gave her a tract and it has several options for u to tick what u wanna pray for. galgal chose "friends and family" and passed it to me to pray on her behalf because she was sortof in a limbo about this because she didn't believe in religions in all her life. but her intentions was really to hope for the good of her friends and family. But the fact that she didnt outright reject her colleague so maybe it was a good sign. So I will pray tonight on her behalf and also pray for her..

Movie Review - Knocked up
thought galgal would blog about this but she say i review better.. so here goes..M18 ah, so the review is also rated M18. under 18s shoo shooo..it is a comedy, it's about a female background journalist whose life is going swee swee, then got promotion and she's going onscreen. But it gets seriously wrong when she go celebrate with her older sis and had a too much alcohol then ONS with a "no real job" slacker resulted in an unwanted pregnancy because she said "get on with it" when he was trying to wear the rubber. So he put it in without wearing it, bad move xia. So sometimes gals when they very horny also never use their brains one :P . Then 8weeks later she found out she kena loh, not 4D ah. then he knows about it and decides to do the honourable thing by trying to marry her, but they hardly know each other and alot of funny things but true-to-life situations happen loh. got touching bits and in end got happy ending loh. So a good movie to bring a date to la, maybe gals can bring their Bfs who refuse to wear rubber o go watch :P Makes them think twice after watchin..keke.
15th Jul'07 & 21st Jul'07
15th Jul'07Met up with Tzuen and Ken Meng for lunch at Fish & Co. Glasshouse. Apparently, they now have the lunch menu which actually has less stuff compared to the full menu.We ordered Jungle Freeze to share, our fav Lemon Garlic Butter Mussels and Fried Calamari. Tried their Seafood Chowder... It was superb! Creamy and thick with real ingredients, yummy! Had veggies and clams etc in it and no fishy smell/taste. Tzuen and Ken Meng had Fish & Chips, while me and Hubby shared Seafood Platter for 2. The servings were huge, wonder why... But the food was great! Always prefer the food at the Glasshouse. Took a couple of pics except for the main courses, was too hungry and looked too good to forget all abt it. After the filling lunch, we asked Tzuen to help take a pic of me and Hubby outside where there is the "LOVE" letters thingy. After pic, went to Cathay to watch... Harry Potter! Yeah! Have been waiting so long for this, hehe. Movie was nice nice and Hubby shall elaborate abt tt... Hehe... My own movie reviewer~Went Tzuen's place for dinner after movie, I was kindda lazing ard mostly cos kindda tired while the guys were playing/discussing games. Dinner was nice tempura and white wine, first time I had such a combi. Thks, Shan, for the wine, nice~ Watched a movie on DVD after dinner and went home. 21st Jul'07A rainy lazy day... Meet up with Tzuen at Sim Lim's Killiney to have my lunch. Curry chicken with french loaf, my utmost fav, yum yum. But the auntie's service sucks. Yucks, absolutely hate her till I "gin"her. After lunch, went to buy Tzuen's stuff, some power supply thingy I suppose? Dun really know the exact term, lol. Headed to PS after that for movie session. "Knocked Out" - M18 movie... Hehe... Let's say there's a bit of nudity/sex stuff, pretty hilarious and sweet at some parts though. After movie was makan session again at Tzuen's place. BBQ~ Yum yum... I'm turning into a glutton! There were sambal stingray (I love spicy food), satay, prawns (!!!!), ketupat and sweet potatoes etc. A pity that the uncle selling the satay was apparently unwilling to give/sell more peanut sauce. Had a nice dinner and its DVD time again, hehe. Forgot the title of the show, but pretty funny/nice too. Have not finished watching it cos I needed to get home, so gonna watch finish when I got the time.Well, that's all for long, shall leave the movies' review to Hubby.Thks Tzuen and family for the nice dinners! Whatever happened to my slimming plans!??! =p

Movie Report : Men In White
Watched "Men In White" this afternoon at Cathay, decided to watch it after watching the funny promotional cut-scenes on TV. Almost was late for the movie coz galgal's watch was 10mins slow,
heng never miss much, heng coz cathay starts movie on time one, unlike $#@$@ GV. so remember that. Not will smith wearing white suits blasting aliens la, it's another no logic, funny show, those type of ang moh don't understand type of singaporean humour with lots of hokkien and mix of english & mandarin &
surprisingly, cantonese. the show begins with a gal;s encounter with ghost while taking a lift. ha! remember that lift scene in "The Eye"? something like that, but not exactly, but it will definitely make u think twice about taking the lift alone.... hehehee. Then the whole narrative driven show is about 5 ghosts' "living" together loh. Can;t tell you the details hor, have to watch the show. There's this one hokkien character which we like best, a hokkien speaking lao beng, his actions and the way he speak definitely set the whole audience laughing, i feel that he is half the movie la, without him, the movie die 1/2 liao. from the 1st scene that he appeared in, everyone start lauffing liao :PThe parts that i didn't like are the 2 singing/rapping parts in cantonese, not that i don't understand it, but i feel that it's not necessary loh, and bore the show. I thought once ok, but again a 2nd time, I was WTF. Then why cantonese leh, sngaporean shows should be hokkien, malay, english, and more hokkiens mah. Na Beh. :P ok la, catch the show in the movies la, because if u missed it and watch it on TV, it's gonna be all mandarin..... ZZZzzz. u know la, just like how they dubbed all the hokkiens in the Jack Neo movies when they show on TV.

Ah Beng Returns!! yeah~
today finally watch ah beng returns liao! should be watch on 5thMaybut "sum1" loh, have to spoil our plans then heng heng last day still got tix.
The production is still hell as funny loh, spoofs of the musicals broadway, phantom of the opera then touch on the topic of casino gambling, family gathering which includes aunties asking when u getting married and having kids la. true loh, since me and bren experiencing the same things also. throughout the whole show, the audience just laugh nonstop,. now abit less ang mohs la, but still have, i still pity them loh. but the surprising thing is got aunties and ah mm come watch also. that "ehh kia" pauline lauff the most la. then after the show keep asking "next one when huh?"
some pics taken during the autograph session after show,
the gals with the main lead, "Ah Beng" Sebastian Tan.

30th Dec~31st Dec'06... Happiness
Went out with Hubby yesterday to Marina Square to collect our movie tix. Been a long long time since we watched a midnight show. We planned to watch at GV Vivocity intitally but they only had Curse of the Golden Flower which we had watched and 2 other horrer shows (to me).In the end we watched Confession of Pain. Alright, not too bad though I felt some scenes were too bloody for me. *freak out* We collected the tix in the evening, headed to Fins to enjoy the oysters. But ended up with overdose of food and me a tummy ache. Sigh. Went on to Suntec to walk around and spent the last hr before the movie sitting at Starbucks sipping coffee. The movie ended at 2+am and we had intedned to take the night bus home initially. But dunno why after the movie, we were so urgent (ya know what I mean)? We had to take a cab to relieve ourselves. And eh, u dun anyhow think. I mean our bladders could not take it anymore. Its actually an ordinary day for us, nothing much special probably except that I was staying over at Hubby's place. But well, we spend the last day of the yr together. No countdown for us this yr though, sigh...

Jack & the 'dao gay'
Sometime last month we saw a promotonal gig of a local musical "Jack & the Bean Sprout" at Tampines Mall, since it stars the same guy as "Broadway Beng" which we enjoyed very much, so bought tix. The musical's held at the new National Library and got a drama centre on the 3rd floor, 1st time for us.
Btw the musical is a parody of "Jack and The Bean Stalk".
The muscial was soo nice, very localised jokes, some adult jokes, some mix of singlish and mandarin, fun interaction with the audience, and very funny all together. But I pity the ang moh families who brought their really young kids, I'm sure they thought that it was a kids show. Well, so wrong, the kids seem bored mid-way through the show because they didn't understand the singlish/dialect jokes and the adult jokes, don't know whether that is a good thing anot hor.. hmm. On our way out, saw a few more ads on other local productions.. hmm, maybe should give them a try.
Autograph Session after the show.->
Some catchin up~ Sexpo, and new hair style
wow didn't know it has been soo long since i blogged, mainly because of work la.. working for oneself definitely not easy, especially when things starts to get busy. But what to do, need to work for galgal&me's future mah. Sorry la galgal, maybe u think i've neglected you but no loh, I still love you so so much. *muackz*
Ok Sent to the Sexpo this year here's the proof :P
Sorry didn't take fotos inside because there's a big signboard that says 'No Cameras'. the whole thing just took one hall of suntec convention so it ain't big, and the exhibitors aren't something that you haven't seen on the streets eg. 'House of condoms'. Half of the exhibits are about s*x-toys and other aids(which i don't need them of coz!). And the other half are Spas and insurance.. sheesh, somehow somwhere everywhere, sure got irritating insurance/financial advisors booth.
The main attraction of the show is definitely Kumar's performance, cross-dressing, adult jokes and somewhat racist-but-acceptable jokes were somethings that he can do so well and make people laugh. Galgal definitely enjoyed it.
Oh oh.. before we went sexpo, galgal went to visit her favourite hair-dresser, Mr Kai of Reds and become $200+ poorer, as usual. She wanted to get that Lucidol ad haircut in the mags, and here's the result.. well as long as she's happy.

Vivo City - 2nd Visit
Went to watch a movie, "Singapore Dreaming" at Vivo City with Hubby. I didn't think much of the movie initially becos it somehow gave me the impression that its just another movie abt Singaporeans chasing after the 5Cs. But... Though this was one of the topics, it actually also touched on kinship quite a lot which was so close to reality and especially true for me in some ways. In fact, it had me in tears at some parts of the movie. Parents' biasness towards the younger sibling was something that I could totally relate to. After the movie, we walked around deciding what to eat and decided on a Kuolo mee shop. Ordered mee, fish soup and curry chicken noodles. The fish soup came with 4 thick slices of abalone, big prawns and fresh fish!!! Plus the drinks (refreshing luo han guo with longan and ice cofffee), its only $25.60!!!
The meal was filling but I was craving for some sweet stuff, so got a eclair and cream puff from Beard Papa and on the way back to Hubby's place, got some soya beancurd from Mr Bean too. Yummy~
Only thing that I was kindda sad was we spent very little time today together thouh I was on leave. Hubby's customer called him for an emerncy and we met up at only 4+pm, mins before the movie started and we went back around 7+pm to 8pm. And I was home by 10+pm... Sigh... Tmr is ym last day of leave le, but we are not meeting and Hubby is still busy with work... Guess I took leave on the wrong days and he seems to be unhappy with me cos he kept repeating Monday a lot of cock ups, wrong day to take leave etc... It really broke my heart and I felt that he's getting colder and colder towards me...

Vivocity: 1st visit
Went to Vivocity during the weekend to see what's this hype of the 'biggest mall in sg' all about. The train was filled when we board at Serangoon, we thought it was just the deepavali crowd going to little indian and they would alight at little india, but wait, seems the crowd was mostly non-indians... must be the typical curious singaore crowd that want to see the mall 'for the 1st time'. So everywhere we go today will be this crowded and it could only get worse when we reached the mall. Apparently, at best, the mall was just half-opened, expected as the official grand-opening is on 1st Dec.
After the long journey, hungry liao and it's pass lunch time, we settle for Thai express since got some new dish which we have not tried before at other outlets. Wanted to order the new clay fish dishes but seems like all the clayfish sold out liao.. ok it's only 2pm, maybe they had only 5 in the fridge. Nvm, galgal settle for softshell crab with glass noodles. Me, honey chicken and also ordered prawn toast and chicken ball with glass noodle soup.
All these new dishes turned out nice.
After lunch, time for walk around the mall. 1st impressions, yes it's big, but to me it's just all the possible retail outlet you could find in other malls all gather into this big mall one. To galgal, it's a new shopping haven. ;(
This mall has got actually quite a number of places for kid to drench themselves. The fountain at the entrance of the mall, reminds me of the bugis junction one, and the big pond/shallow pool at roof top garden.
After galgal spend money, happy and tired liao, we took a cab home and had dinner at her home kopi shop. End of a tired day...

The Premeire @ Tampines, my dream home
Went to view the showroom ytd, lotsa ppl and queued abt an hr or so. Got the booklet and saw the layout. I prefer the A1 ;ayout which is the 4-room one, but the showroom had only the 5room, so I supposed its gonna be much smaller.BUT still, I fell in love with it. I really liked it so much I felt it was the ideal home for me immediately. But knowing we could not afford it, I kindda spent most of the afternoon and evening sulking abt it... Sigh, guess we can nvr afford it...I hate being poor.... Sob sob...

lost n not found.. sad sad
Today is a sad day.. sad day for me. Went to Orchard as usual to eat chix rice@ far east.. then walk walk till paragon.. had a shit there then walk around for about an hour then realise my PDA not in my bag. Might have drop/left it in toilet when shitting.. shit la, walked around whole building, asked cleaners, observe ppl who's playing with pda.. nothing, informed information counter of the lost. not really hopeful, just very depressed now coz i need it for work then now at a lost, coz really don't want to waste money like that.. haiz.. that PDA had served me for 2yrs, could have lasted me another 3. feel like *piak myself..

Early B-day celebration on 12th Aug!
Yup yup, its my b-day! I'm still so happy with last night and feeling good.Met up with the gals at City Hall aounrd 5+ to 6+pm and ate some desserts at BakerzIn. Light and yummy tapas, the satisfying and delicious warm chocolate cake, its almost like heaven. Hehe. Sat around till abt 7pm before proceeding to Aria @ Esplanade for dinner cos the reservation is at 7.30pm and their waiting time is 5 mins only. On the way there, lotsa ppl were heading to the Esplanade too to catch the last fireworks show this week.Reached there ard 7.25pm and settle down. Took a long time deciding what to have.Starters: Me & Meilin - Mushroom Capuccino & Scallop, Jolene & Charlene - Tiger Prawn Bisque, Hubby - ScallopComments:Mushroom Capuccino - Its basically mushroom soup (taste is similar to the one at Soup Spoon but not as thick) with foam on top, hence the name. Not too bad though, as its not too heavy till it'll fill you up.Tiger Prawn Bisque - Could taste the prawn in the soup, but found ti a tad too strong and salty though.Scallop - 1 scallop nicely seared on a bed of rice with tomto sauce. Quite refreshing, something I nvr tried before and the scallop is pretty fresh.Main Course:The gals all chose Seafood Hotpot and Hubby chose Cod.Comments:Seafood Hotpot - Mussels, tiger prawns, clams & scallops in a diluted tiger prawn bisque. The seafood were fresh and did not have a fishy smell like some places. The tiger prawns were really big and juicy (think its Charlene's fav of the nite, hehe). First time eating something like this too, yum yum.Cod - The serving was quite generous, fish meat was thick and firm, not hard and flaky. Kindda tasted like steamed fish to me though.. But overall not bad, the sauce had some mushroom slices in it, so really reminded me of the Chinese steamed fish.Dessert:Another warm chocolate cake! This was a mini version with sorbet (can't rmb wat flavour, but had some vodka in it). This was also my b-day cake, hehe. Pleasntly surprised actually cos I did not know Hubby had planned this beforehand. In between the maincourse and dessert, we went out to watch the fireworks at 9pm, it was so beautiful! Took lotsa pics and hands and neck were aching later after looking up and taking pics for abt 10-15mins. After the show, went back to Aria to chill out cos there were so many ppl gog home. That was when the dessert appeared! Apparently, Hubby had planned this ytd and I was kept in the dark, cheeky fellow. We sat ard and drank ice water and catched up with each other cos we are now mostly in different companies and been a long time since all of us met up.Stayed around till 10+pm and started to head home, walking from Esplanade to Marina Square to grab a cab. But in the end still had to call for cab cos the queue was kindda long and no cabs were coming in.Ont he way, had a mini "accident". I did not put on my safety belt cos I was sitting in the middkle. We were happily chatting when suddenly I was flung towards the front..Luckily my knees had blocked against the cushion. Seems that the car in front of us had suddenly braked, so the taxi uncle had to e-brake. I tot I was ok cos except a little pain, I didn't feel anthing much. Till I reached home, then I realised a patch below my kneecap where the skin had peeled off. Sob sob.... Thks goodness its not too serious though it still kindda hurts. All right, that's the "adventures" of my day and the pics are found in the below entry. Enjoy! And thks gals for coming! =)
